I wish the prezzies would just spawn in our inventory, I get why the running around would be fun, but with pings of 43,000ms it's a nightmare, I've retreated to my guild hall a few times just to avoid the chaos.

Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't it be easier, especially for the dev team, to just make an npc giving out hats or/and presents for them... if they put it in the taiwan district or something european/american players can't 'abuse' those npc's anyways.
And what's the difficulty with just extending the event, or running it again at a later time there or something like that? And picking up unassigned presents, why not just program in some presents for the taiwanese etc.? I would think that would be easier to do then picking them up and delivering them to those players.

Not only Taiwanese people are affected. The whole of South East Asia has been affected as well. I'm living in Malaysia and I can't get past the Loading 0 files screen after the character selection. When some of us do manage to get in, we get pings upwards of 1k. My Alliance guilds which are all based in the region are all affected as well and most of us are on American district.
